That was quiet little and delightful hotel set in great area, near to everything: trains, buses, monuments, services, the fish market and all the main attractions, shopping streets, restaurants/bars and transportation to further afield. The breakfast selection was local and satisfactory with yoghurt and coffee/tea, for example.

It was a good rate for a room with 5 people in central Catania, a short walk to the main tourist areas. It was good to have parking at the hotel which was free. The staff were helpful on the phone when we were lost in the car, and spoke reasonable English.
The hotel is up four flights of stairs, and we had a lot of heavy luggage. Failities are fairly basic as you would expect in this price bracket.

The breakfast on the rooftop terrace was a real highlight, with fresh cornettos and great views. The location was perfect, just a walk away from the Elephant fountain square and the lively markets. The super nice team, and we appreciated the large rooms that felt newly updated!
Just a heads up, there are a few flights of stairs to get to the reception, which could be a challenge for some.

Great position to visit everything in Catania.
No lift so you have to know that you have a lot of stairs before you can reach the reception.

charming old building, large spacious rooms, well-maintained air conditioning
The limited amenities in the bathroom felt sparse for the price being charged!!!

The breakfast terrace. The staff were friendly and the family room was very airy and large.
The beds were uncomfortable. No lift. Cost of room is rather high for a two star hotel.

The welcoming staff at Hotel Biscari. The spacious room was spotless, and the breakfast on the terrace was a lovely treat with delicious local flavors. Just be prepared for a few stairs to reach the rooms, but the charm of the ambiance is worth it.

The parking possibility in the patio of the owners was very helpful, especially because of the central location in Catania. The breakfast on the terrace was amazing due to its wonderful view to the harbour.

The room was cheap with balcony, double bed, as for instance, the check-in was easy. Local breakfast on the roof deck, we enjoyed it.

The hotel was ok, on the main road, near the city center, the reception guy was very friendly and the breakfast was ok. The city itself hasn't much to offer, other cities nearby like Taormina or Siracusa are much more worth visiting.
not a luxurious hotel, I wouldn't have stayed there for more than one night.
